Salida a por la luz de Belén con Navegantes

I kept wondering how is "Ir por la luz de la paz de Belen" going to happen. I can still hear the laughs of my sister and Alfonso and mine when I asked about it. I asked where and Alfonso said in Bilbao. We're gonna travel from Santurtzi to Bilbao. In my mind, was the marathon event flyer I saw before, which happened last November 25, so I asked, "andando?". Laughingly, Alfon said, "No, en metro", with gestures. haha

We had our hankies loosely tied on our necks like the one for girl scouts and boy scouts before we left the parroquia. We had blue hankies. Others had white, and all of them excpet me and my sister had a purple sardine brooch. *sad, OP kame. loljk. I think they ran out of those.

Fiesta Navideña

We've been practicing the song La Fosa for like a couple of weeks or so, and just this december 18, we performed it at the annual Fiesta Navideña at the Parroquia Inmaculada Concepción.

Everyone loved Marijose's face paint

This cold december at Santa Maria

Dear Papa Jesus,

First of all, I want to thank you for these wonderful days. Also, thank you for the voices, and thank you for the strength and courage. I still believe in the saying that everytime you go to a church for the first time, make a wish and it will come true.

12/12/12: One Day on Earth

I've been planning to do something "big" or something "awesome" or "cool" on 12/12/12. And what the heck, it's 12/12/12 today and I didn't even remember! I said I've been planning, meaning, 'till now I'm still thinking something of to do. Last year, may bestfriend told me about the site One Day on Earth, and told me to capture something inspiring about 11/11/11. Pretty much, I failed. I totally have no idea of what to shoot, since that day, I was at a hangar the whole day with my tita.

JAM

Last night (dec1), my sister and mom celebrated their birthdays. My cousins, talented cousins (rather) came. Everytime we always get together, we never fail to do some jamming sessions. Like just as our hobby, singing, playing the guitar, which ends up in doing covers, although we end up not having the super perfect pasada, or if there is, not being able to upload some.

Notes for Christmas:

Sa Pilipinas, pag sapit ng "-ber" month, nag sisimula na mag-countdown to Christmas ang ibang tao, yung iba, nagsisimula na mag-decorate, though yung iba, they start after November 1st. Dito sa España, I almost cried for thirst as I see the streets and houses (buildings in particular) with totally no designs. I was like this, missing Pinas Christmas days, not until after these music pieces were given to us.

Probation Pressure 101

I feel like I was a contestant in Protegé or in Pinoy Dream Academy when I found out the surprise test after an hour of practice for LZAZ (mujeres choir). I was thinking, maybe Ixone e-mailed about that, yet I wasn't just able to see it.

Querido Casco Viejo

When we arrived late at the meeting place, Carmen smilingly asked if we got lost. Today was our
first excursion trip; Casco Viejo.

Our tour guide's name is Andoni and he's a great guia 'cause he speaks clear spanish and
sometimes translates some things he said in castellano.

Neda&Friends@Getxophoto Festival 2012

As a fan of photography, when my eyes first caught glimpse of the Getxophoto's poster advertised at metro, I knew I had to have a second look. Until I went to their webisite and saw it myself, checked out some things I think I could be part of.

Sunkissed

Normally, a summer vacation means going to the beach and getting "nog-nog" under the sun with your family, which we call "Outing" in the Philippines. Since our family is filled with ordinary people, we had our family outing.

Here in Spain, whenever possible and as long as they see Mr. Sun melting everyone else, they hit the beach or the pool. Most don't swim, but just allow themselves to get their desired body color - which is of course to get darker. They love the sun! It's just funny how most Filipinos are so afraid of the sun, afraid to get darker. Well, we should all respect everyone's wants for one's satisfaction.

Itlog na pula in the house. holler!

I can't explain myself how much I miss eating filipino food. Then I just found myself eating salted egg for dinner. By the way, it's home made.

Fast Forward

Don't you just get that feeling when you're in the present, yet you suddenly feel excited about the future. What's even weird is you have no idea what's gonna happen, yet you're psyched.

When we came here at Spain, it was definitely so friggin' cold. That made us cover ourselves with couple or more clothes when going out. I said that time, I want it to be summer already. You know, so that it won't be that hard to dress up right away. It was really a hassle dressing up while shivering. brrrr!

T-A-T-A: It's Adventure Time!

Inscripcion al Programa : "OCLO EN FAMILIA 2012"

"Headstart"
Dia 5: Playa de la Arena - Horario de 11:00 a 17:00
1st thursday did not gave much a good start. It was a bit rainy in the morning so they had to change the venue of our trip. It supposed to be at the beach (as stated), and we were brought to Santurtzi's Polydeportivo, at the swimming pool. That's one thing we hate about the weather here, it's so unpredictable! Because be like 12 noon, it was already friggin' hot.

Santurtzi Jaietan El Carmen 2012

Being able to be part of the annual festivity your residing place holds is joy. And this is why Santurtzi gathers a plus 1 to my love to it.

Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?

One of Sikap Association's creative ideas of reuniting Filipinos in Bilbao Spain every once in a while is the pageant, Mrs. Filipinas Euskadi where moms who have the guts to show the world that they are more than what other people think they are get to compete with each other in different categories. Not just by beauty, but by their talents, sociability, confidence, how they bring up an outfit and brains. Each one of them sure have a woman's face, yet a with a man's side of being "palaban".

Everything was more than you could have imagined

As Santurtzi's Lagun Zaharrak Abots Zuriak enhances their God's given gifts, they got to perform at Frias, Burgos last July 7, 2012. My sister and I am part of this group, but only the seniors sang. As for us, the newbies, we were able to see how a choral concert works especially in my case 'cause it's the first time I ever attended one. But I can really say that it's so awesome!

Fiesta para los alumnos

For like two months of attending Castellano lessons at Mamariga Kulturgunea with the help of BAOBAT Association we could understand and say a little spanish though. Thanks for our professors' kind an understanding minds for giving us their time.

114 and counting...

June 17, 2012, my siblings and I attended the annual Independence Day celebration here at Spain for the first time with our parents. Though I have seen the schedule of events on the invitation given, I was still wondering on what would happen, maybe more specifically. By the way, this celebration was arranged by the SIKAP Association.

A Date with Myself

my view
One problem I suffer when I want to write is how to begin with it creatively. Sure topic counts too, and things you woundn't want to miss in your piece. But I say that the best things to be written is what comes to your mind when you're alone, probably daydreaming. For me, they're like jackpot prizes that wouldn't just pop right away the moment you need it the most. But I find them tricky and acts as a good conscience 'cause they somewhat reminds you of some things which can help you be awake and realize things that bothers you. If only I can do it, I would write whatever comes into my mind as I walk to the street, see some things, normal or something that might amaze me. How I wish I really could. Or do I just wish to be with my bestfriend whom I can talk about anything to?

Finding a place for me –Attempt #2

Cooking. Yeah. Wait, what? Oh, cooking. It's not really my thing. But I sure am a gourmand! I assure you that. haha. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank my sister for being my superhero when I get to be asked to cook (aside from this time) heehee. She got her big interest in cooking from Dad, the master chef. ;{D

Rrrrr Perry Madness

Back when we're still residing in the Philippines, I've loved Perry the Platypus already. I mean, I don't know what made him so cute. Maybe, with his eyes which can look at two people on the same time or his disguising of being a pet but really an agent named "Agent P" who doesn't talk at all. December 2011, my tita's ears bled with my screaming the moment I saw a Perry shirt at Divisoria. I was begging her to buy it and I even said that it could be her christmas present for me (kid's little joy). He'll always be my most favorite cartoon pet. :)

Finding a place for me –Attempt #1

¡Hola, Hola!

Yesterday, (April 17, 2012) we started our Spanish Class and can you guess how I felt? Well, I just felt like being around buzzing bees talking to you. I don't know when to say "Si" or if not, what my answer would be, so I just hang my smile around. Anyway, they all seems to be kind and very eager to help.
